Jesse- Former footballer and aspiring bodybuilder
Jesse is an IT salesman for a software company and aspiring bodybuilder. He was a Footballer for Brevard Collage in North Carolina until the age of 23. When he stopped playing, he couldn’t imagine himself not having some form of routine, ways of staying fit and pushing his body. Football wasn’t the answer for him which led to him taking lifting more seriously.

In order for Jesse to stay motivated he has realised comparisons help him a lot. “I find comparing myself to those who emulate whether it be how much they lift or parts of his body I want to improve”. He records his one rep maximums to give him a clear path of his progression and to see what needs improvement. “I also switch up my routines to keep things new and challenging to keep up my motivation”.

A few tips and tricks Jesse has for people wanting to get into fitness and training is to really know why you’re doing it because once you know that then you will find it so much easier to be consistent. “Take your time with it, there’s no magic pill or special training and lastly to enjoy the process, you’ll see your mind and body change and you will feel better for it!”
