Jacques – A Rugby League player for the Castleford Tigers
Posted by Okami Sport onJacques O’Neill joined the Tigers as a 16-year-old and was straight into training with the first team. He has impressed since his debut in 2018. Jacques represented England Under 16s in 2015 and after short loan spells at Leigh Centurions and Halifax, earned himself a contract extension with Castleford at the end of the 2019 season.
He won ‘Young player of the year’ award for his club this year. The 21-year-old has a very bright future in rugby. O’Neill has made 24 first team appearances for Castleford since making his debut in 2019. He has an impressive work rate and a very bright future in the rugby league.
His objectives for 2021 is simply to be even better than last year. “I want to be one of the best in my team. I’m not bothered if I’m one of the youngest, I want to be one of the top performers every week”.
